Here's the house we are staying in this time.  A two bedroom, two bath, just up from the Green House we stayed in the first time so the kids can play with the Martinez family (Danis et al) by walking down the hill.  It's much cooler and the view is spectacular which you can see above.

The only reason we found this is because Andrew and I came to visit Danis and family and the owner happened to be walking by.  He was just finishing the house up for their daughter who's coming a few days after we're headed back stateside.  We really had no other choice as it is high season.  I had to fix some toilets and add some wallplates and do some other misc. things to finish it out.

Jacob goes to Kid Blast with Ms. Angela just down the road every Saturday morning. They have a "blast" learning about God.
If there is a time to come visit, now is it.  Big and comfortable and cool.

Big kitchen for cooking for visitors and houseguests!

It's a long walk up or down to the house, but the view's worth the windedness.

Here's the top of the house walking down from parking.  Walking up from the road takes your breath away... in both ways.

Our first day back at school on the island and Andrew catches his first lizard. A rather large one. Notice the pencil in his right hand and the workbook on the ground behind him. We often have school outside.
The landowners beside us decided to clear their jungle. It was dangerously close on a high wind day. And just dangerous. And destructive.
I finally went fishing here in Roatan.  I pulled this 10 lb. snapper right out of a cooler in Coxen Hole.  Too bad I didn't remember all those lessons you gave me on fish cleaning, Dad.

The boys had reason to celebrate, as their picture shows, when I FINALLY got a few fillets.

The sunset through our front door.
Outside singing "This Little Light of Mine."

Andrew's passed the age limit, but sometimes he gets in on the craft.
Jacob shooting Nemo with his new pop gun.
We finally had a birthday party for Jacob and Andrew.  Here's a picture of the crowd we had.  it was tons of fun with XBOX, tape the tail on the donkey, cake and home-made ice cream (thanks Greg and Angela), and a giant Nemo pinata!
All the kids...
Just some crazy friends of ours....

More to come...
Kite flying in front of our house.
So I (and Jenny a little too) have been able to do a little more diving.  (Thanks Coconut Tree Divers) so I thought I would share some pictures.
So we finally went to the mainland. A 2 hour ferry ride which was supposed to be really bad but was just fine.  "Just fine" should really read no one puked!  Anyway, the mountains just 30 minutes up from the dock are spectacular.  Of course I pick the time when it's not rainy season so the river is down but oh well.  One of these days I'll hit a class V rapid!  We stayed at Omega Tours and hiked to two waterfalls (the largest shown below).  This is not your typical tourist "hike."  Luckily we are in walking shape from not having a car and living on a hill.  Our guide was a 62 year old Honduran man.  Never would of thought he was 62 when after I said "Mirame!" and did a flip into the water.  He said the same and did one too (yet he did not fully rotate and landed on his back. (I felt bad) See picture above of him when he climbed the Tarzan vine.  The next day we "walked the river" (twice) and jumped from boulders and swam some rapids. Then we rafted the rapids.  Finally the next day we went to see Le Ceiba.  Mainly went to the mall is all.  Next time we'll make it to the local marketplace.  Really not much there.  It was a great time and I am excited to see even more beauty so close to here.  Maybe when visitors come we would now have to add to the schedule a ferry ride to the mainland!
