Clint, Jenny, Andrew & Jacob Roberts
The Roberts in Roatan
Clint, Jenny, Andrew, and Jacob will be in Roatan, Honduras
from April 2nd to June 25th.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Why only until June 25th?
We don't have Honduran Residency right now, so we're required to leave the country for at least 48 hours every three months (or pay a fee instead). We can exit to a bordering country but figured we'd be ready to have some time back in the states.

Where are you staying on the island? And do you have room for visitors?
We are staying at The Green House in Sandy Bay, Roatan, Honduras.  And YES, room for visitors! We'll be staying on the upper floor, leaving a complete one bedroom with kitchenette available for guests.

Do you have a mailing address?
The owner says the address is simply:  Dennis and Merlin Smyth, Sandy Bay, Roatan, Honduras.  Anyone want to give it a try?

What will Clint be doing there?
He'll be hanging  around Gumbalimba Park most every day, where he hopes to partner with a Christian businessman and friend, Marc, in the aquatics activities for cruise excursions. Check out SNUBA on the site.

What will Jenny and the boys be doing there?
Same thing they do in the states! Jenny will be homeschooling the boys, just doing it more OUTSIDE, probably.  I'm sure they'll be doing lots more "field trips" around the island. And they'll get to hang more with Dad.

Can we phone you?
We will maintain a US cell phone number (817-800-1077) but will only check voicemails occasionally. You can also call us when we're online or leave us a message anytime via SkypeIn from a US number at (903) 771-4826.  FYI: When we
SpypeOut, your caller ID will show 0000123456.

Can we email you?
Yes: clint@robertscj.com or jenny@robertscj.com or if problems: robertsclint@yahoo.com.

What's the best way to TALK to you guys?
If you have a PC with a high-speed internet connection and a microphone, sign up for Skype and watch for us to be online at one of the two user names.
robertscj (Skype Username - PocketPC)
clintroberts (Skype Username - Laptop)

What in the world is "Skype"?
Skype is high quality VoIP calls from your PC or PocketPC free anywhere in the world:  www.skype.com.  It requires a high-speed internet connection for good call quality and a microphone is also required for use with a PC.

What ministry will you be involved in?
God only knows! There are many needs on the island, same as anywhere. And same as anywhere we've been, we'll see how the Lord leads. Our primary ministry, of course, continues to be our family, as husband, wife and parents. We just sense the calling to simply walk with the Lord and let him SHOW love to the people of Roatan through us, whatever that looks like.

How can we pray for you?
*That God will open doors for ministry on the island for all four of us.
*That God will open doors for work for Clint (that he'll provide financially).
*That God will open doors for playmates for the boys (and for Clint and Jenny).
*That God will continue the work he's begun in and through us and that we'll continue to love the Lord our God, listen to Him, and hold fast to Him.

How can we come visit you?
American (via TACA airlines) and Continental fly nonstop from Miami or Houston to Roatan on Saturdays. So if you've got a week, come Saturday to Saturday. Otherwise, you can fly during the week through connections--usually from a US city to San Pedro Sula to La Ceiba (closest city on the mainland to Roatan) to Roatan. Warning: You'll be flying almost all day if you go this route. Passports required. Fares have been around $500 for the nonstop; but Jenny's sister Julie booked her and her mom and flight for $344 on TACA (through Travelocity or Expedia or one of those sites, I think).

What's there to do on Roatan? What's the island like?
Jenny already created a page for the Gumbalimba Park website that's got lots of answers to these questions. From the Gumbalimba Park website, click on the "About Roatan" page.

What if you didn't answer my question?
EMAIL US! And we'll add it!

Our favorite snuba/scuba/snorkel site, to the left side of this picture.
Andrew as we're passing bulls and cows: "Ya gotta tell me sooner so I can roll down my window and slap him on the behind!"
Andrew the shark
Pretty, eh?
"I can't open my eyes, it has salt in it!"
Look closely to see the scripture messages  our friend Jimmy's painted all over his place. The terracotta roofed villa behind is where we play volleyball. We pass by Jimmy's place on game days and usually find him lounging in his hammock between the palms. The boys love his puppies. And he loves giving you the complete unabridged story of the Bible.
Jenny's mom Mary, Selor, and the water buffalo Churro.
Part of our (sweaty) Saturday routine. Get groceries from supermercado in Coxen Hole, then fruits and veggies from this pickup in West End.
Watch out while sunbathing!
In case you had any doubts about visiting.
We finally decided where we want to live.  Anyone ... ok everyone want to chip in?
Okay, since no one chipped in I guess this will have to do.  Although it is new and oceanfront property!
Danis and Andrew.  Communicating much better now!
Jenny and I at Fantasy Island Resort.  No, it is not the same one where the guy says "Da Plane, Da Plane!"
No, that is not a swimming pool.
Andrew: "Okay, I think I'm okay with this now."

Jacob's always picking up coconuts everywhere we go.
Play hard, rest well!
Jacob and a parrot, how sweet.
Andrew and Toti the monkey, chillin'.
Whoa, cool hair-do, dude!
My Little Mermaid...in sleek black.
The Pirates of the Caribbean

Omarcito was added from the picture above.  Jesleah, not shown, is the youngest and only sister and is so beautiful.
That was awesome!
His works are wonderful, even hidden in the sea. We know that full well!
Other sites designed by Clint Roberts:
Gumbalimba Park     Cherokee Landing
Tabyana Beach Lake Property
Walking down the driveway from the car felt like being in Jurassic Park when the lady had to turn off the electricity in the other building.  Okay so they are not Raptors but supposedly they will bite and not let go!
Yep, that's a chicken....crazy, huh! See how they are all looking at me.  No I didn't say "say cheese."
My favorite one is all the way to the left.  Very bright green colors.
Jenny's mom and sister visited.  Here we are kayaking.
Beautiful coral, 100 ft off shore.
Andrew 007
All of us snorkeling.  Except me as I am taking the picture.  See my fin. Oops!
It's not 2 man but they are pretty consistent players.  The local "big boys" play on Sunday night.  They have talent but lack in fundamentals. In island English (kind of Jamaican sounding) they call each other "bra" frequently, short for brother not braizerre (anyone know how to spell braziere/braizere/brazierre).
One of the best players I have seen lives on this island.  He plays for the Honduran National team and can JUMP.  2nd best part of volleyball is the location.
"I believe I can fly, I believe I can touch the sky"... all right mom (Millie), no breaking out into a Road moment.
They sure can make those fake dolphins look real.
XYZ - Examine Your Zippin'
I had the anniversary gift all planned out as a surprise with babysitters all lined up and gear ready to go without her knowledge.  I told the boys about them going to a babysitter and they asked what we were doing so I told them.  A little later Jacob came in the room with Jenny and I and asked, "Mom, why do you have to go on a shark dive?"  I guess I should of emphasized a little more that it was a surprise.  I suppose he didn't want his Momma to be eaten up.
I had to beat that dolphin up for kissin' my girl.
Andrew's reaction to his first kiss from a girl! Rita is her name.
"No way!"
We're gettin' a little better at our underwater photography.
My ... Big Mer ... man?
Water Buffalo ride!
Finally a picture of Jesli, the youngest of the six children and the only girl.

Isn't she so beautiful.
Homemade hammocks under the Omar's house.
To celebrate 11th years of marriage bliss, I took Jenny out to dinner, er... I mean, on a dive.  A SHARK dive that is!!!
More to come...
